Emchap's Shit from the Internet 08/10/22 đ
Today was long and awful in ways that several of my lovely friends have already been texted about, but it did at least end with a thorough mopping of my house, which is my favorite Wednesday night activity. It hardly feels like youâre doing much and then you look down and your mop bucket is full of the most satisfyingly revolting water, and your floors are sparkly, and you get the satisfaction of both resolving the problem and, realistically, of having caused it.
I am now somewhat trapped in the living room until the floor dries, however. That partâs not great.
Shit to read
I enjoyed this interview with a former child star about her absolutely fucked relationship with her mother.
Loved loved loved this home tour, I want to move into it now.
Any day you can make fun of convert tradcaths is a good day.
Metaâs product decisions are terrible for metrics other than âgenocideâ and âmaking old people more racistâ, and I really enjoyed this look into how Tiktok won.
I enjoyed this sober guide to Las Vegas, a city that my boyfriend has begrudgingly promised to visit with me, once, if he must.
Shit to eat
Order Thai food because youâre sad.
Receive the Thai food.
The Thai food is the absolutely wrong food.
Sad.
Shit to watch
I find these videos of lunches that this Japanese woman makes for her husband to be mesmerizing (this one in particular because it shows her eating cucumber leftovers with mayo on them, which I had not ever considered). She always makes interesting things.
Shit to buy
I have been very pleased with these linen pants from Old Navy.
